As the Winter Olympics begin so does the conversation about how athletes stay resilient in cold environments.
To mark the Games, I’m sharing a special free podcast + listening notes workbook:
Yoga for Winter Sports – Tips for Teaching Yoga to Athletes in Cold Climates
The insights in this episode were first recorded during the Winter Olympics 2022, inspired by a Yoga for Winter Sports workshop I delivered at that time. Since then, I’ve revisited the material with fresh eyes - refining it with more perspective, clarity, and curiosity for today’s teachers, athletes, and movement professionals.
Cold climates place very specific demands on the body:
Joints need more time and care
Muscles respond differently to load and temperature
Recovery, circulation, and nervous system regulation become essential, not optional
This podcast explores how my specific yoga methods support athletes in winter sports, and how teachers can adapt their approach to meet these demands with confidence.
Alongside the episode, I’ve created a listening notes workbook to support your experience.
Whether you’re a yoga teacher, coach, or simply curious about how yoga and movement science meets winter sport, this resource is my gift to you during the Games.
Enjoy!
