I am a certified yoga teacher, Yoga Sports Coach™, pregnancy yoga teacher and meditation teacher. I am also a Thai Yoga massage practitioner. I have been teaching for 4 years, I live and work in London (East).
I have been working with group classes and also teaching one to one sessions. I have worked together with the British Triathlon Foundation Trust and have made a couple of videos for kids.
YSS Case Study Research: Long-Distance Running
The Aim: I wanted to find out how could a Yoga Sports Science® training programme improve a runner’s performance and help the athlete to stay injury free.
Athlete’s profile: 35 year old woman, has been running for over 5 years, completing marathons and 5,10ks.
The Conclusion: The training lasted for 10 weeks and we met once or twice a week for 30-45 minutes. The exercises included breathing techniques, warming up, strengthening, stretching and cooling down. She found them very useful and helped her a lot when completing the Berlin marathon in September 2011.
I would love to explore how breathing techniques, meditation and Thai Yoga massage could help the athletes and how beneficial it would be to intergrate these into the trainings.
